It may seem something small to other readers’, but for me one of my BIGGEST peeves is when an Author defines a character and then I’m left confused because there is no consistency or the character does not live up to what was promised.Īlso, to wrap up on Adam, because of him lacking emotional development and discovering new feelings that he doesn’t recognize made his love, his commitment, his pure adoration for Olivia (FMC) just all that sweeter! Yes, it’s a stalker romance. And the dialogue she provided for Adam to back this up was one of the few times an Author pulled off on what is promised for a character’s traits. There literally was something devoid in Adam, his brain was definitely not wired to be as what we refer/classify as “normal”. Adam, MMC, I really applaud Nikki J Summers for delivering on The Psycho which is Adam. From the way each character spoke to their behaviorisms, it was awesome.
The entire world setting that I stepped into was palpable. This was hands down a 5 star read for me and I feel like I’ve been living under a rock to have had this sit idly on my TBR for far too long. The Psycho was everything and more that I want out of a Dark Romance. I am a poetic romantic at heart and I melt for the stories that have “twin souls”, “soul halves”, “soul mates” etc.
